Welcome to a new post on The Prep By D!
I don’t know what your school’s rules are, but my school is pretty strict on dress code, so I always had to have the dress code rules in mind when going back to school shopping and creating outfits before school, and that’s why I am wearing jeans in all of my outfits. I chose three outfits that stick to basic dress code rules, but are still cute enough to get some compliments.
Also, this post is a collab with Brooke from Live The Prep Life! She is also doing three Back to School ready outfits, so make sure to check out her blog post and give her a blog a follow!
This first outfit is a mixture of comfy and chic. This oh-so flowy and comfortable top from Urban Outfitters is a great basic to have. It’s crazy because my sister and I have managed to collect all of my colors except white and purple. I paired this flowy gray top with some light wash jeans and my white Birkenstock’s, but I have also wore my J.Crew Factory sandals (like in the pics above) with this top as well! This outfit is in the running to be my first day do.
Chilly classrooms were no surprise in my school, so long sleeves or even 3/4 sleeves were great, even in the start of school. I recently got this cardigan and white fluttery top from Abercrombie, and I knew I had to show y’all this outfit! I styled them with my dark wash jeans and one strapped Birks. What I love about this shirt is you can leave it by itself or style it with a cardigan (which I did), plus it’s just a great basic to have in your closet. This outfit keeps you warm from the chilly air vents in classrooms, but it does it in a stylish way.
*I don’t remember where I purchased my Monogram Necklace but you can find them on Etsy, if you’re interested.*
This soft top from Marley Lilly is one of my go to tees for school. It’s super comfy, cute, and I’m so excited to wear these on those lazy school days. I paired this shirt with some dark wash jeans and my purple Chacos.
I hope you enjoyed my Back to School look book! If you did, make sure to like the post, write me a comment, and follow my blog (which can be done in the “Home” category in the menu, and make sure to head over to Brooke’s blog (here).
